7-year-old Syrian Sham al-Bakkour aspires for the title at Arab Reading Challenge, Dubai

Dubai, SANA- Syria will participate tomorrow at the Arab Reading Challenge (ARC), and competes, through the 7 -year-old girl Sham al- Bakour, with 18 other participants representing 18 Arab countries,

Child al- Bakour, from Aleppo , has already won the title of Syrian champion within competitions related to the ARC which will be held Thursday by the United Arab Emirates within its 6th edition this year.

Al-Bakkour’s participation received widespread media attention for being the youngest contestant in the Challenge.

ARC is the largest-ever Arab literacy initiative launched by UAE to encourage students to read, it challenges students to read as many books as possible (over 50) in one academic year.
