Damascus, 72 new coronavirus cases, 187 recoveries and 4 deaths were reported in Syria on Friday, according to a statement by the Health Ministry.
The statement added that the overall number of the coronavirus recorded in Syria has reached up to 54,894, of which 47,902 have recovered while 3,089 have passed away.
The first coronavirus case was reported in Syria in March 2020.
