89 new COVID-19 cases, 4 fatalities reported in Syria

Syria recorded on Wednesday 89 new coronavirus cases, 197 recoveries and 4 deaths, Health Ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that the overall number of infections registered in the country has reached up to 54,664, of which 47,330 have recovered, while 3,079 have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22nd ,2020 in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was registered on the 29th of the same month.
