ABU DHABI: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a written letter from Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, discussing bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them.

Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, received the letter during his reception of Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov in Abu Dhabi.

During their meeting, the two sides reviewed joint cooperation ties between the UAE and Azerbaijan, as well as opportunities to strengthen them to serve their mutual interests across various domains, especially energy and renewables, in addition to issues related to Azerbaijan’s hosting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
