Amman – The Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) and the global communities non-profit organization Partners for Good (PfG) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, marking a significant step towards supporting Jordanian farmers.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ceremony was attended by Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Hneifat, ACC Director General, Mohammed Doujan, PfG CEO, Walid Tarawneh, and Regional Director of Advance Consulting, Lamia Debbas.

During the ceremony, Hneifat highlighted the importance of partnerships in supporting the ACC’s financing path, aligning with the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV) and the national plan for sustainable agriculture. The initiative aims to provide financing to farmers, supporting new projects and ensuring production sustainability. This approach also focuses on creating new job opportunities, in line with the government’s priorities. Doujan described the partnership with PfG as crucial for empowering individuals and communities in the agricultural sector by providing essential financial resources. PfG, in collaboration with Luminus Community Development through FAL Consulting and Administrative Services and ACC, is implementing the “Mahartak” (Youth JO – Level Up) Project. Supported by the Dutch Embassy in Jordan, this project is designed to enhance financial support to agricultural candidates, contributing significantly to the growth of Jordan’s agricultural sector.
