Amman: Communication Minister Muhannad Mubaideen said, “The Ministry will work to implement the general policy of media and government communication in cooperation with partners and relevant parties.”

According to statements to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Mubaideen added that the government decided Sunday to approve the general policy for media and government communication and assign the Ministry of Government Communications to take procedures to implement what was stated therein in coordination with the relevant authorities.

He added that the policy was subject to an extensive national dialogue of the Economic and Social Council with official media institutions, the Jordanian Press Association (JPA), daily and weekly newspapers, satellite channels and local radio stations, licensed news websites and writers and experts.

He added that the Economic and Social Council partnered with universities, the Arabic Language Academy, the National Guidance Committees in the Parliament and the network of media spok
espeople in ministries and public institutions.

Mubaideen praised the role of the Economic and Social Council, which held “extensive” meetings with various partners and relevant experts to make recommendations and proposals on general media and public communication policy.
