Deputy Foreign Ministers of Syria and India discuss a number of issues and topics of common concern

Damascus, SANA- Deputy Expatriate and foreign Minister, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between Syria and India and the need to strengthen them to serve the common concerns of the two friendly peoples.

 

Al-Jaafari’s remarks came during a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Ausaf Sayeed and the accompanying delegation in Damascus on Sunday.

 

Al-Jaafari pointed out the historical ties and the distinguished political relations binding the two countries.

 

He voiced appreciation for India’s stance in support of Syria in its war against terrorism.

 

In turn, the Indian official stressed his country’s solidarity with Syrian people in facing the current challenges resulted by the terrorist war on the country.

 

Sayeed reviewed several issues which are expected to be implemented between Syria and India in the future in technical, health, cultural, scientific and artistic domains.

 

He indicated that the Indian government provided grants to finance and implement humanitarian projects, including the supply of artificial limbs and equipment for people with disabilities.
