Manama, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa today inaugurated Al Izdihar Primary Girls’ School in Hamad Town.

He unveiled the commemorative plaque marking the official opening of the school, and was briefed on its modern building and facilities with new designs that serve the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Education.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Kuwaiti Ambassador Thamer Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah, minitry’s officials and representatives of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Technical Bureau.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed commitment to enhance educational infrastructure in line with the development momentum led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He noted that the Government’s plans take into account further expansion of the educational infrastructure to keep pace with the demographic and urban development across the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He thanked the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) for the continuous support received by the infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially the educational sector projects, which embodies solid relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly State of Kuwait.

Dr. Juma expressed gratitude to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Ministerfor their support to the educational sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, extending thanks to the Deputy Prime Minister for inaugurating the new school.

The BD4.550 million school, funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) features thirty-three classrooms with a capacity to accommodate 1155 students, in addition to other facilities.
