Egypt, Congo discuss water cooperation

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati on Wednesday discussed with Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development in DR Congo Eve Bazaiba Masud means of boosting joint cooperation in the water field.

 

 

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum in Sharm el Sheikh.

 

The two ministers discussed a project of the development area between Lake Victoria and the Mediterranean.

 

 

Abdel Aati underlined the importance of the project for achieving regional integration and linking the Nile Basin countries through one waterway and railways line.

 

Masud expressed her country’s keenness on enhancing cooperation with Egypt in the field of water.
