Egypt pays attention to achieving peace, stability in S. Sudan

Egypt is paying a greater attention to achieving peace and stability in South Sudan, said Egyptian Ambassador to South Sudan Moataz Mostafa Abdel Kader.

He added Egypt spares no effort to contribute to achieving that purpose.

The Egyptian diplomat’s remarks came at talks with South Sudan’s First Vice President Riek Machar.

The two sides tackled bilateral relations and vistas of developing them.

The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Abdel Kader underscored deep-rooted and profound relations binding Egypt and South Sudan at both the official and popular levels.

In turn, Machar commended important and constructive role Egypt plays in supporting South Sudan.

He said Egypt is very keen on contributing to achieving development and stability in South Sudan.

Machar added he is hopes Egypt would maintain and promote its role in the coming period.
