El Arish, November 21: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in El Arish, Egypt, on Monday to supervise the preparation and dispatch of a new Jordanian field hospital for southern Gaza. The royal court statement revealed that Crown Prince Al Hussein reached El Arish International Airport on a Royal Jordanian Air Force plane, carrying hospital staff, medical equipment, and supplies.

According to Jordan News Agency, the field hospital, to be established in Khan Younis, was dispatched following directives from King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army. This move is a continuation of Jordan’s efforts to support Palestinians and provide medical services to patients and those injured in the Israeli war on Gaza. The 41-bed hospital includes emergency, internal medicine, intensive care units, and a prematurity department with 41 incubators. It also features an obstetrics and gynecology department, laboratory, pharmacy, X-ray and sterilization rooms, and two operation theatres for urgent surgeries. The 145-member staff comprises medical and nursing teams from the Royal Medical Services, administrative staff, and specialists in various medical fields. Prior to this, 40 trucks had arrived at the Rafah border crossing carrying the necessary equipment and medical supplies for the hospital.
