The Embassy of Mexico in Jordan on Thursday evening celebrated International Women’s Day, with the participation of international and local organizations, Arab and foreign ambassadors, the Jordan-Mexico Friendship Association and the Mexican community in Jordan.
In a speech at the ceremony, Mexico’s Ambassador to Jordan, Roberto Rodriguez-Hernandez, affirmed the Mexican Embassy’s commitment to continue promoting Mexican and Jordanian women development and empowerment in order to consolidate better societies in both countries, who see eye to eye on enhancing the role of women and empower them.
During the ceremony, a group of Jordanian and Mexican women who presented success stories and inspiration to the community were honored.
Director of Media and Public Relations at the Mexican Embassy, ??Samer Al-Azza, said that the embassy held events and activities during this week to celebrate International Women’s Day, including a dialogue and awareness workshop on women’s issues and a Mexican film screening.
