Public Works and Housing Minister, Maher Abu Samen, on Tuesday, set the stage for a triumvirate of exhibitions – the 18th International Machinery, Energy and Electricity Exhibition (JIMEX 2023), the Engineering Industrial Trade Fair GIMEX 2023, and the SOLAR Near East Exhibition and Forum (SONEX). These high-profile events, organized by the Jordanian Engineers Association and the Golden Gate Company for organizing exhibitions, have been brought to life with support from the Amman Chamber of Industry and the Jordanian Green Building Council. Boasting participation from over 250 local and international exhibitors showcasing more than 600 global brands, these expos are a meeting ground for innovation and industry. Ahmed Samara Zoubi, from the Jordanian Engineers Association, affirmed the exhibitions’ objective to funnel global expertise and knowledge into the Jordanian engineering sector. By putting the latest scientific breakthroughs under the spotlight, these events are geared to turbocharge the competitive edge of the engineering sector while cultivating a fertile ground for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Hosted at the Jordanian Center for International Exhibitions in the Makkah Mall, these expos, running until June 8, draw a diverse roster of participants from India, China, the UAE, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Jordan, and beyond. An added bonus is a forum featuring enlightening lectures and interactive workshops. The expos cover a vast range of sectors from machinery and electromechanical equipment to electricity and lighting, automation and energy, renewable energy and solar energy, surveillance systems and cameras, tools and industrial supplies, production lines and packaging systems, water technology, forklifts and industrial compressors, heating and air conditioning. The significance of these expos in Jordan and the region is recognized by the UFI International Exhibition Board. Running alongside JIMEX 2023, the SONEX exhibition is set to illuminate the stage with all solar energy applications in electricity, water and lighting, solar energy systems for buildings, factories, hospitals and farms, PV Module solar panels, Solar Inverters, energy-saving systems, and more.
