Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, announced today that an extraordinary meeting at the level of foreign ministers of the Arab League Council will be held tomorrow in Cairo to discuss the Israeli escalation of violations against the Palestinian people. Ambassador Al-Aklouk told WAFA the meeting comes at a time of an Israeli attack on Jerusalem and its historical and cultural landmarks as well as on its Islamic heritage, including daily raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and attempts by Israel to impose its sovereignty over the holy site. He pointed out that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, will brief the Arab League meeting on the Israeli violations and crimes against the Palestinian people.
