First regular Syrian external flight from Yerevan arrives in Aleppo International Airport

The first regular Syrian external flight from the Armenian capital, Yerevan, arrived  in Aleppo International Airport carrying 76 passengers onboard marking the return of air traffic between the two friendly countries, which has been suspended since 2011.

 

In a statement to SANA, Syrian Ambassador to Armenia ,Mohammad Haj Ibrahim, talked about the importance of the flight operated by Cham Wings Airlines , in cooperation with the Civil Syrian Airlines, between the two cities of Yerevan and Aleppo for the first time after it has been suspended during the past period , in  implementation of  the directives of President Bashar al-Assad in terms of facilitating the return of Syrians residing abroad .

 

He stressed that thanks to the sacrifices of Syrian Arab Army’s heroes and the steadfastness of Aleppo’s citizens, this significant achievement was made.

 

Ibrahim added that linking Yerevan city with Aleppo airport will facilitate the arrival of Syrians coming from Europe.
