The meeting also dealt with ways to enhance the historical and deep-rooted ties between the two kingdoms in all fields in implementation of the directives of the leaderships of the two kingdoms.

Safadi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting on the sidelines of the Arab Foreign Ministers’ preparatory meeting for the Arab Summit in Manama, as part of the ongoing consultation and coordination process between the two countries regarding the developments in Gaza and in the context of joint Arab action aimed at reaching an immediate ceasefire, ensuring the protection of civilians and the delivery of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip.

The two ministers stressed the need to intensify efforts to stop the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip and the need for Israel to stop its military operations in Rafah.

They also emphasized their countries’ absolute rejection of the displacement of Palestinians inside or outside their land, and the need for the international communit
y to act immediately and effectively to stop Israel’s ongoing violations of international law and international humanitarian law.

The two ministers underlined the importance of realizing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution, the adopted international terms of reference, and the Arab Peace Initiative. They also covered the strong and solid fraternal relations between the two countries, and underscored the joint keenness to bolster them in various fields.

Safadi met with Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar in the context of joint Arab coordination aimed at stopping the ongoing war on Gaza. The two ministers discussed developments in Gaza, which is witnessing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe as a result of the Israeli aggression since October 7.
