The Oil Derivatives Pricing Committee Monday decided in its monthly meeting to adjust the prices of gasoline and diesel during the month of August due to rises in the global market. It said that the August price of 90-octane gasoline will go up to JD0.920 per liter, instead of JD0.895, 95-octane gasoline to JD1.165 per liter instead of JD1.135, and the selling price of diesel will be JD0.715, instead of JD0.675. The committee kept the price of kerosene at JD0.620 per liter and a cooking gas cylinder at JD7.00. It said it fixed prices after a review of global crude prices, which found that 90-octane gas was up JD0.025 per liter during the month of July, octane-95 gasoline increased by JD0.030 and diesel was up JD0.040 per liter.
