Producer prices increased by 15.8% in February on a yearly basis in Germany, official figures showed on Monday.

The federal statistical office Destatis said the producer price index dropped from 17.6% in January.

The energy was still the main factor for high prices in the country, Destatis noted, adding that energy prices as a whole rose by 27.6% in February on a yearly basis.
