Health ministry announces decline in Coronavirus infections

Advisor to minister of health and population and head of the COVID-19 death committee Sherif Wadie announced on Monday a decline in the virus infection cases.

Wadie’s statements came during a scientific webinar on Monday attended by Dr Hossam Hosni, head of the scientific committee on fighting the pathogen, in the presence of the committee members and some doctors dealing with cases at hospitals.

There is a relative decline in infections, which would lead to a decline in death cases, said Wadie, adding that beds at the intensive care units increased by 35 percent.

He said that Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed is interested in training doctors on COVID-19 treatment protocols.

According to Wadie, all black fungus treatment protocols are offered at isolation hospitals free of charge.
