HEBRON: Israeli occupation forces Sunday evening detained five Palestinian young men in the Old City of Hebron.

Anti-settlement activist Arif Jaber said that the occupation forces stationed at the military checkpoint established in the Jaber neighborhood, adjacent to the Ibrahimi Mosque, detained young men as they returned from work and handcuffed them.

He added that the occupation forces have escalated their repressive and provocative measures against citizens in the Jaber neighborhood, as they pursue residents, prevent their movement, and sometimes open fire on passers-by.
