NABLUS: A Palestinian man today was shot and injured by Israeli forces following a military raid of the town of Beit Furik, located to the east of Nablus, according to local and security sources.

The occupying forces raided the said town, sparking intense confrontations with local residents, during which the occupation soldiers fired live bullets, stun grenades and gas bombs, shooting and moderately injuring a Palestinian by live bullets in the shoulder.

He was later transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

In a related context, Israeli forces also stormed the village of Beit Amrin, west of Nablus, detained a father along with his son after breaking into his house and tampering with its contents.

Israeli military vehicles further stormed several neighborhoods of the city of Nablus.

Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the Israeli incursion, snipers were deployed on Market Street and schools in the vicinity of the Old City. However, no detentions or injuries were reported.
