Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) Mohammad Thneibat on Thursday inaugurated rooms of the Digital Control System (DCS) for the sulfuric acid and fertilizer plants, along with the ammonia control room at the company’s industrial complex in Aqaba. The unveiling of these advanced control rooms comes as part of the company’s strategic efforts to upgrade its operational infrastructure and provide a safer and more conducive working environment for its workforce. During the event, Thneibat emphasized JPMC’s steadfast commitment to embracing the latest international standards, stressing the paramount importance of ensuring the highest level of occupational safety for all employees. He lauded the hard work and dedication of the industrial complex employees, acknowledging the significant progress achieved in optimizing work processes and enhancing production capabilities. Thneibat also highlighted the ongoing development initiatives undertaken by the JPMC, specifically aimed at increasing production capacity and transitioning towards value-added industries, underlining the company’s dedication to reducing production and mining costs to remain competitive in the global market. Looking ahead, the Chairman expressed JPMC’s ambition to achieve further milestones in production and export, fortifying its position in the global phosphate industry while actively contributing to Jordan’s economic growth. Throughout the event, Thneibat inspected the site of the forthcoming Medical Ambulance Center, a project initiated by JPMC to serve the industrial region in Aqaba. The advanced medical center, which will be fully funded by the company, is set to be equipped with cutting-edge facilities and medical equipment, featuring a capacity of 10 beds.
