Lebanese delegation visits Syria in appreciation for its efforts in rescuing sinking boat victims

Tartous, SANA- A delegation visited Tartous city, comprised of mayors, businessmen and families of Tripoli and Aakkar, to thank the Syrian people and concerned parties for the great efforts exerted in rescuing the victims of the Lebanese boat that sank offshore Tartous.

 

During the meeting, Governor of Tartous Abdul Halim Awadh Khalil affirmed the intensive follow-up by the Syrian leadership “the governorate operated as an integrated whole”, considering this work as an ethical and humanitarian duty.

The delegation members expressed their gratitude to the Syrian leadership and the people of Arwad Island for providing medical care to survivors and recovering the bodies of the sinking boat victims.
