Makram, BUE delegation probe bilateral cooperation

Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram on Saturday 25/09/2021 discussed with a delegation from the British University in Egypt (BUE) ways of boosting joint cooperation to implement a number of initiatives in cooperation with the ministry, according to a statement by the ministry.

 

The delegation is led by President of the BUE Mohamed Lotfy, the statement said.

 

Makram asserted the university is playing a crucial role as an educational institution, which is sticking to applying quality education criteria as per international standards.

 

The BUE has been mainly contributing to promoting societal responsibility by constantly participating in backing national projects and initiatives, she further mentioned.

 

During the meeting, Makram congratulated Lotfy for assuming his new post as the university’s president.

 

She said she is looking forward to capitalizing on the expertise of academics and researchers in the university, as per directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to benefit from the researchers in order to implement plans toward a sustainable and genuine development.

 

She went on to say the meeting probed how to help the university participate in carrying out a number of initiatives, that are being carried out by the ministry at present, including presidential initiative “Decent Life” to upgrade the Egyptian countryside.

 

For his part, Lotfy commended efforts exerted by the ministry to link Egyptian experts and scholars abroad with their homeland and benefit from their experience in national projects in the country.

 

He noted that the university is keen on achieving fruitful cooperation with the ministry in several files.
