The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, said today that the growing Israeli settlement activities constitute a disregard to the UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly, the International Court of Justice, and the international community as a whole. This was stated in three identical letters sent by Ambassador Mansour today to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council for this month (the United Arab Emirates), and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, regarding Israel’s continuation of its colonial settlement campaign in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. Mansour stressed the need to hold Israel to account for its continued aggressions against the Palestinian people, including its systematic targeting of Palestinian children, and that this begins with Israel being included in the list of violators of children’s rights.
