Mikdad receives a copy of credentials of India’s new Ambassador

Damascus- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Faysal Mikdad on Sunday received a copy of credentials of Ambassador Mahender Singh Kanyal as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Syria.

 

During a meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and means to bolster them at all fields to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples were discussed .

 

 

 

Mikdad voiced his satisfaction with the high level of coordination between the two friendly countries in various forums and fields.

 

Mikdad reiterated Syria’s appreciation over India’s supportive stance towards the country in facing the terrorist war imposed on it.

 

He affirmed that Syria is looking forward, as well as many countries of the world to further active Indian role at the international level to defend the principles of justice and international law, and prevent hegemony attempts that some countries are trying to practice in many regions around the world, hailing the active positive role of Indian policy during its membership of the UN Security Council.

 

For his part, Ambassador Kanyal expressed his gratitude for the welcome he received since his arrival to Damascus , expressing hope to develop the bilateral relations between the two countries at all political, economic , culture, and scientific levels as he presented some important aspects in which he seeks work on them to strengthen bilateral relations between Syria and India.
