Mikdad receives credentials of Venezuela’s Ambassador to Syria

Damascus, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, received on Thursday credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Syria, Mr. Jose Gregorio Biomorgi Muzattiz.

During the meeting, Mikdad expressed Syria’s appreciation for Venezuela’s support to the country. He condemned the Western unilateral coercive measures imposed on both the Syrian and the Venezuelan peoples and other peoples that reject hegemony.

He affirmed Syria’s support to the friendly country of Venezuela against the external intervention in its domestic affairs, mainly the US.

Ambassador Muzattiz, for his part, underlined his country’s support to Syria’s stances, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, saying that Syria had the greatest role in repelling terrorism with all its forms.
