RAMALLAH: The Israeli occupation forces have reportedly arrested approximately 4,695 Palestinians in the West Bank since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) and the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Authority.

In a brief statement released today, the PPS outlined that the tally includes individuals detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.

The statement further pointed out that Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out widespread acts of abuse, brutal assaults, on-field interrogations, and threats against detainees and their families.

Additionally, there have been reports of extensive sabotage and destruction of homes belonging to Palestinian civilians, coupled with the confiscation of their properties, added the statement.
