Muscat, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi and his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Salim Abdullah Al Jabir Al Sabah held an official session of talks at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters here today.

The session dealt with the distinguished relations binding the two countries and means of promoting them to serve the joint interests. The two sides looked forward for the success of the 9th session of the Omani-Kuwaiti Joint Committee, hosted in Muscat. They stressed the importance of boosting the bilateral cooperation in various areas.

During the talks, the two ministers exchanged views on a set of regional and global issues of common concern.

The session was attended from the Omani side by Khalid bin Hashil Al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department and Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Head of the GCC Department. Meanwhile, it was attended from the Kuwaiti side by Salim Ghassab Al Zamanan, Assistant Foreign Minister for GCC Affairs, Nawaf Abdul Latif Al Ahmad, Assistant Foreign Minister for Minister’s Office Affairs and Mohammed Nassir Al Hajri, Ambassador of Kuwait to Oman, as well as a number of officials from both sides.
