Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Thursday received US President’s Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, John Kerry. During the meeting, attended by Minister of Environment Muawiya Radaydah, Khasawneh and Kerry discussed Jordan-U.S. cooperation, especially with regard to challenges resulting from climate change and its impact on water and environmental issues, underscoring the importance of supporting international and regional projects to overcome these challenges. They also underlined the importance of the COP28 Climate Summit, which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates next November. The Prime Minister thanked the U.S. for supporting Jordan in addressing climate-related challenges, especially those that have impacts on water and the environment.
