The Lebanese Press Syndicate announced in a statement that “due to the lack of a quorum for the general election assembly, which was scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2024, for both its political and non-political factions, the elections have been postponed in accordance with Article 23 of the Syndicate’s internal regulations.”

The elections are now scheduled for Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. for the political press category, followed immediately by the general assembly session for the non-political press and local news agencies, all to be held at the Press Syndicate’s headquarters.

Press Syndicate Head, Aouni Al-Kaaki, expressed hope for “the participation of colleagues in the elections for their syndicate council members.”
