Russia, Syria to enhance bilateral relations

Special Representative of Russian President , Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed with a delegation of the People’s Assembly, headed by the Chairman of the Russian-Syrian Friendship Group Bassem Sudan, bilateral relations between the two countries.

 

Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday that the Russian side reaffirmed support for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.

 

The statement added that discussions during the meeting focused on a number of important issues to further strengthen the friendly and multisided relations between Syria and Russia.

 

The People’s Assembly delegation escorted the Russian State Duma elections.
