HEBRON: Scores of Palestinians Wednesday evening suffocated from Israeli army teargas in the al-Arroub refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli occupation forces violently quelled a rally in the camp condemning the ongoing Israeli occupation crimes, firing live ammunition and volleys of tear gas canisters and concussion grenades towards the participants and causing dozens to suffocate.

The casualties received treatment at the scene.

Meanwhile, similar confrontations erupted with the occupation forces at the eastern entrance of the Husan village, west of Bethlehem.

There was no immediate information about casualties in Husan.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its s
weeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
