Baghdad, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, stressed the need to develop tourism, which has a large and positive impact on the economic level and increase investment opportunities.

A statement by his media office stated that Abdullah received, today, Monday, the head of the Tourism and Travel Authority in the Kurdistan region, Amal Jalal Muhammad, with a delegation of tourism and marketing directors in the authority, in the presence of Bakhtiar Haji, Director General at the representative office of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Baghdad.

During the meeting, according to the statement, they discussed issues related to ways to develop the tourism sector, implement strategic projects, continue coordination and cooperation with the Tourism Authority in the federal government, and address problems and obstacles facing this important sector.

Abdullah stressed the need to develop tourism because it has a great and positive return on the economic level and increase investment opportunities, pointing to the importance of introducing the countries of the world to our cultural and historical heritage through the establishment of activities and artistic events, especially we have a beautiful diversity of components and multilingualism and cultures.
