Students not to be allowed into dorms unless they are vaccinated – minister

Higher Education Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed that no student will be allowed into the university dormitory unless he/she was inoculated against Covid 19.

During a phone call with MBC TV night show Al Hekaya run by host Amr Adeeb, he said 302 vaccination centers were set up at all universities and that a large quantities of vaccines were provided to all these centers.

To date, 568,898 university teaching staff members, employees and students were vaccinated, he said.

This means that 90 percent of targeted university staffers were inoculated while only 14 percent of students got their Covid 19 vaccine, he said, adding that efforts are underway to vaccinate all remaining students.
