Syria, Iran to boost economic and investment cooperation

Tehran, SANA- Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, Shafiq Diop, discussed with Chairman of the Iranian-Syrian Friendship Committee Ayatollah Hassan Aktari, ways to boost bilateral cooperation in various fields that serve the two friendly countries and peoples.

Ambassador Diop insisted on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and doubling joint efforts made by public and private sectors in various fields to achieve concrete results that meet the requirements of the current phase during which the two countries face unfair and illegal economic sanctions.

For his part, Aktari stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in various fields, affirming his country’s quest to accomplish new achievements which constitute an example to follow for other projects, including the creation of joint companies in the domains of oil, tourism, banking facilities, customs taxes, transport and car spare parts.
