Syrian-Russian talks on fostering cooperation in vocational education and Russian language teaching

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Education Dr. Darem Tabbaa discussed Monday with Russian Deputy Minister of Education Gribov Denis, and the accompanying delegation, means to enhance educational cooperation between both countries.

This came On the sidelines of the 5th Syrian-Russian Joint Meeting on the international Conference on the Return of Syrian refugees and Displaced.

Tabbaa pointed out the possibility of creating a Syrian- Russian education complex in Damascus countryside equipped with high technology to provide education services to those wishing from different countries of the Middle East.

Tabaa noted the important role of exchanging expertise with the Russian side, through students and teachers, and focusing on supporting vocational education as there are 500 vocational education schools and 57 intermediate vocational institutes.

In turn, Gribov Denis stressed the importance of cooperation with the Syrian side, especially in the field of Russian language teaching, as the work is underway to prepare advanced curricula to improve the level of learners.
