Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon has highlighted the importance of enhancing the political dialogue with the Republic of Cyprus on a bilateral level, but also in the context of EU-Republic of Tajikistan relations. According to an announcement of PIO, new Ambassador of Cyprus in the country Kypros Giorgallis presented his Credentials to President Emomali Rahmon, at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Dushanbe yesterday. The Ambassador conveyed the heartfelt greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, and expressed his readiness and commitment to further strengthen and deepen the relations between the two countries, as well as their cooperation on a bilateral level and in the context of EU-Republic of Tajikistan relations. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan conveyed his personal wishes and cordial greetings to President Christodoulides. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of enhancing the political dialogue between the two countries on bilateral level, but also in the context of EU-Republic of Tajikistan relations. In conclusion, he expressed his readiness to support the Ambassador’s mission with the aim of further strengthening the relations between the two countries. During his presence in Tajikistan, the Ambassador had the opportunity to meet with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muzaffar Huseinzoda, with whom he exchanged views on the full range of bilateral and multilateral relations. In this regard, the Ambassador briefed his counterpart on the latest developments on the Cyprus problem and presented specific suggestions for the advancement of relations between the two countries. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, conveyed his country’s principled stance on the Cyprus problem and expressed the political will to enhance the bilateral agenda on the basis of practical proposals that will be submitted in the near future.
