Temperatures above average in most areas

Temperatures remain above average in most areas as the country is affected with a low superficial air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorological Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy in general and cold at night, warning against the formation of frost on the mountains and fog in the central areas, al-Qalamoun and Damascus Ghota.

The winds will be changeable to southeastern between low to moderate in speed and the sea waves will be low in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 16/6, Homs 15/5, Hasaka 18/6, Lattakia 17/9, Aleppo 14/3 and Deir Ezzor 17/9.
