Temperatures to drop, snow expected over mountains

Temperatures will drop to become from 4 to 6 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial low pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a wet and cold polar air mass.

 

The skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy in general and the weather will be rainy and accompanied by thunder over the coastal region, while it will be snowy over the mountains, according to the bulletin of the Meteorology Department.

 

The wind will be southwesterly with a moderate speed and active gusts whose speed exceeds 80km/h, while it will be southeasterly over the northeastern regions, while the sea waves will be high in amplitude.

 

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 8/6, Daraa 12/7, Homs 12/6, Hasaka 14/6, Tartous 15/11, Aleppo 9/5, Deir Ezzor 15/6
