Worldwide coronavirus death toll passes 4 million and 642 thousand

The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 4 million and 642 thousand people worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers Website, which tracks the latest developments of the virus worldwide.

 

The Website added that the total number of the coronavirus cases worldwide has climbed to 225,421,697, while the deaths have reached up to 4,642,927, and the recoveries have amounted to 201,968,461.

 

The US is still on top of the worst-affected countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths as it has registered 677,983, out of 41,852,315 infections, while India comes in the second place with 442,898 deaths out of 33,263,428, and then comes Brazil with 586,590 deaths out of 20,989,164 infections.
