New York: Since the destructive earthquake on 9 February, 583 trucks loaded with aid from seven UN agencies have crossed into north-west Syria via the three available border crossings with Turkiye, the United Nations announced Tuesday.

Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, said in a press briefing that homes for some 2.7 million people have been damaged in Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Homs, noting that those displaced are in collective centers and host communities.
