President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi issued Law No. 20 of 2022, authorizing the Minister of Finance to provide the holding company for EgyptAir and EgyptAir Airlines with an insurance guarantee to fulfill their financial obligations that may result from operating flights to and from the airports of Russian Federation, in case of accidents; whether as a result of normal operating conditions or as a result of dangers of wars or hijacking. The law was published in the Official Gazette on Monday.
