A van transporting 65 Syrian passengers who infiltrated into Lebanon arrested

Following extensive investigations, the Internal Security Forces' Information Branch arrested Sunday a "Mitsubishi" white color van in the town of al-Suweiri in the Bekaa, on board of which were 65 people of the Syrian nationality, including 11 children, who had illegitimately entered into the country, an ISF communique indicated today.

The ISF unit arrested two Syrians convicted of smuggling persons into Lebanese territories, while the driver of the van, (born 1995, Lebanese), fled to an unknown destination.

The arrested were handed-over to the concerned authority for the necessary legal action, while search continues in tracking down the driver, the ISF communique added.
