Abi Dhar al-Ghafari Healthcare Center obtains ISO 9001:2015 certification

Damascus, SANA- Abi Dhar al-Ghafari Health Care Center in Damascus received ISO 9001:2015 certification related to the development of medical work and the provision of high quality services.

The center, which is located in Mazzeh area,Damascus, provides medical services to more than 2,800 families registered with it, including vaccination, radiography, and laboratory tests, as well as other services through clinics for examining newborns and children, reproductive and maternal health, family medicine, dentistry, diabetes, ophthalmology, dermatology and psychiatry.

While handing over the certificate to the center’s management Thursday, Minister of Health, Hassan al-Ghobash, stressed in a statement to SANA reporter the importance of the certificate because it is an international quality certificate granted after applying and meeting the required international standards, which constitutes a greater motivation to continue the work.

‘Despite the effects of the terrorist war and the economic siege on Syria, the health cadres are making every effort to provide the best medical services to citizens.” al-Ghobash added.

The Director of Damascus Health, Muhammad Samer Shahrour, indicated that the Center is the first health one in Syria to obtain this certificate, and it has a lot of importance in terms of encouraging the provision of quality services to patients and supporting the efforts of medical staff.

For her part,  Head of the Center, Hazar Miqdad, saw that obtaining such certificate pushes the cadres to do more and more to continue providing services with the best quality, pointing out that the center provides free services to more than 2500 patients per month.

It is noteworthy that the number of diagnostic and treatment services provided by the center during the current year reached 31,000 services for more than 21,000 patients.
