Abi Khalil inks contract with Russian company to develop oil storage facilities in Tripoli: serious work underway

Caretaker Minister of Energy and Water, Cesar Abi Khalil, signed a contract with Russia's Rosneft to develop oil storage facilities in Tripoli in the presence of Russian Ambassador Alexander Zasypkin.

Abi Khalil said "the contract will allow the re-development of oil facilities in Tripoli, and providing additional funding for it will be made in stages," stressing that "serious work is underway in the oil sector, which begins with the exploration of oil and ends with storage and management of oil facilities market."

"We are discussing with Syria, Iraq and Egypt means to restart the existing gas and oil pipelines in our region," he said.
