Industry Minister, Wael Abu Faour, deemed Saturday the mandatory crossing said to have been enforced by the Syrian regime for the entry of religious Druze clerics into Syria as being "further evidence of the return of the regime to its previous ways of interfering in Lebanese internal affairs."
In an issued statement earlier today, Abu Faour considered this measure as an "attempt to create sedition that will not occur," adding that "the Lebanese State is called upon to adopt a position towards the discrimination that the regime wishes to impose on Lebanese citizens."
He added: "Consequently, the same measures must be imposed on supporters of the Syrian regime coming to Lebanon."
"In all cases, we received news of the queues lining up at the border and we do not know what to do," Abu Faour concluded.
