AFC SETS JULY 1 FOR FINAL ROUND OF WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS’ DRAW

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has set Thursday, July 1, a date for the final round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers’ draw in Qatar.

The 12 teams will be divided into two groups; the first and second of each of them qualifying directly for the final.

Twelve teams are qualified for the final: Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Australia, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Vietnam, China, United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon.

Lebanon is participating in this round for the second time after qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
