Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Dr. Hassan al-Ghobash, discussed on Thursday with United Nations’ High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) representative in Syria Sivanka Dhanapala, means of promoting joint cooperation in health sector.
Both sides discussed during the meeting ways to support vulnerable groups in society in terms of health, especially for displaced persons, in addition to presenting the Commission’s multi-year strategy from 2023/2025.
Al-Ghobash noted that Syria is working on providing adequate and equal health-care to all citizens, pointing out that the ministry provided many health services through medical points at the border crossings during the return of the displaced.
Dhanapala, on his part, stressed the continuity of cooperation and coordination to ensure the provision of health services and emergency response, noting the medical services provided by the Ministry.
