All EGX indices up, benchmark increases 0.98 pct

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes posted gains at the close of Tuesday’s trading session, backed by strong purchases by local and Arab institutions and investment funds.

The market capital gained about EGP 6.4 billion to hit EGP 748.2 billion at closing, after total transactions of EGP 12.2 billion

The EGX 30 benchmark index rose by 0.98%, registering 11,603.33 points.

The broader EGX 70 EWI index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) increased 1.56%, closing at 2,151.99 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was up 1.52%, ending at 3,171.23 points.
